The Coventry School of Music Old Boy's Association was formed in 1986 and currently has almost 200 members, some of which were in the original band of the Coventry School of Music Corps of Drums when the band was first formed in 1947. Many of the members were part of the Band during the 1960's when the Corps was one of the most successful bands in the country, winning every major contest in Briton and even some in Europe.The Old Boy's Association formed a band as part of the Corps

of Drums 40th anniversary,which has proved to be popular whenever it has performed. To preserve the uniqueness and also the enjoyment factor for the musicians, the Old Boy's Band only performs once or twice each year. One of the ambitions of the band is to return to Europe. Since the band was formed it has performed at several major events such as The Queen's 70th Birthday Parade Pall Mall London, The Royal Albert Hall London, Lord Mayor's Parade London, The Godiva Parade Coventry and the Brighouse Band Contest 40th Anniversary. The Old Boy's Fanfare Party have also performed at many events including The Guild of St. Georges Banquet and the City of Coventry Freeman's Guild Banquet
